whilst Europeans arrived in North the USA, 25 to forty percentage of the continent's birds have been passenger pigeons, touring in flocks so tremendous as to dam out the sunlight for hours or perhaps days. The downbeats in their wings may kick back the air underneath and create a thundering roar that may drown out all different sound. John James Audubon, inspired through their velocity and agility, stated a lone passenger pigeon streaking during the wooded area "passes like a thought." How prophetic—for even supposing one thousand million pigeons most probably crossed the skies close to Toronto in could of 1860, little greater than fifty years later passenger pigeons have been extinct. The final of the species, Martha, died in captivity on the Cincinnati Zoo on September 1, 1914. As naturalist Joel Greenberg relates in gripping element, the pigeons' propensity to nest, roost, and fly jointly in mammoth numbers made them at risk of unremitting industry and leisure searching. The unfold of railroads and telegraph strains created nationwide call for that allowed the birds to be pursued relentlessly. Passenger pigeons encouraged awe within the likes of Audubon, Henry David Thoreau, James Fenimore Cooper, and others, yet no critical attempt was once made to guard the species till it used to be too overdue. Example text

Because the real man of Nature is the man of the People and love of \the People inspires the true sentiment of humanity. em~lism is an independent ~xistence for the pe9ple. Also it induces a profound ,spirit of patriotism and nationalism; for only a patriotic and nationalistic people can defend its independence. But this patriotism and nationalism does not prevent international harmony. For if each nation admits the ultra-popular philosophy, it is obliged to respect the independence of other nations and, without the selfishness of the capitalist classes, the people can realize an international entente.

How are these fundamental political principles put into practice? To understand this, attention must be directed to the following point: in Turkey there exists only one political party; the People's Republican Party, of which Atatiirk was the President. No other party can exist. Now the Republican Party of the People assembles in Congress for four years to examine the progress made in the reorganization of the country and to settle the programme for the next session. This programme, which includes the whole administration necessary for the national life, is established on the principles we have just enumerated.

Kemalism restores all government power into the ~ands of the people by suppressing all titles, all prerogatives and all the big capitalists who form the" pathological" element of society. Also by popularizing literature and music, it tends to elevate the intellectual standard of the people. The philosophy of Kamal Atatiirk regards love of the people as the real expression of humanity. Because the real man of Nature is the man of the People and love of \the People inspires the true sentiment of humanity.
